You Can Save It if You Do Things Right Though. You are Lucky that It Didn’t Get Over the Intake and Carburetor. The Fine Silt Plays Hell with Them and It Tears Up A Motors Bearings Very Quickly!
What I Did Five Times to My 1966 Camper on the Point of the Island at My Campsite Was as Follows:
DON"T TRY TO START BEFORE CHANGING OIL!!!
You Need to Wait Until the Starter and Other Electrical System Components are Dry... But Before Your Starter Bearing Begin to Rust and Freeze Up. Pull Your Spark Plugs and Turn You Motor Over to Blow All the Water Out of Your Cylinders. Spay a Little WD-40 in the Cylinders so that There is Some Lubrication when You Try to Start the Motor. Put in Brand New Spark Plugs. You May Need to Clean Silt Out of Your Distributor Cap?
Then Change Your Oil and if Your Engine Starts... Run It For At Least a Half an Hour to Clean All The Water and Fine Silt. Drain Your Oil and REPEAT This Process ANOTHER Four Times. (Just the Changing of the Oil and Half Hour Run of the Motor).
I Changed the Oil FIVE Times on All My Cars the Went Under Water... as I Was Told By a Very Wise Mechanic.
My Camper Ran Like a Champ after Five Floods, though On The Last Time the Water Got Over the Intake and I Had to Pull the Choke Out Just a Bit because I am No Good with Carburetors!

Deadly Flooding in Greenville County
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a woman is dead and a man she was with is missing after they were swept away by flood waters in Greenville.
Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans said rescue crews found the woman Sunday morning, nearly 2 miles downstream in Laurel Creek. Crews are still looking for a man who was also swept away. Their names have not been released.
Evans says it appears the victims were trying to walk away from the flood near Haywood Mall when they disappeared.
The National Weather Service says up to 6 inches of rain fell in a few hours. Authorities say two people suffered minor injuries when a bridge was washed out in Greer and flood waters briefly shut down Interstate 85.
Flooding was also reported in Anderson, Columbia and Charleston.

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Flooding is being reported at both ends of South Carolina.
The National Weather Service says 3 inches to 5 inches of rain fell in just a few hours Thursday morning from downtown Greenville south and in eastern areas of Anderson County. More rain was falling in the afternoon, and a flash flood watch was issued for the Upstate and the southern North Carolina mountains through Friday morning.
A flash flood warning was also issued for the Charleston area as heavy rain formed in the Lowcountry. Forecasters say 4 inches to 8 inches of rain fell around Charleston and Folly Beach with more rain forming.
No major damage was reported in either area.
