The name Moses came from Mose or Mosis that simply meant "son of," or "heir of." It is a suffix found at the end of many Egyptian names such as Tuthmosis, Amenmosis, and Ramesis, etc. Therefore, if we suggest that the biblical Moses ("son of" someone) was Akhenaton, the heir of Amenhoptep III and inheritor of the throne of Egypt, we may be on the right track.
